Job Summary

Citigroup Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Fund Accounting Supervisor to join our team in Edinburgh. As a key member of our Financial Reporting Team, you will be responsible for the detailed review, oversight, and final production of interim and year-end financial statements for UK Authorized Funds.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all deliveries are met in accordance with client service level agreements and key performance indicators
  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) and provide guidance to resolve problems, escalations, and complex/escalated transactions
  • Drive a culture of innovation and improvements to enhance efficiencies
  • Support to staff coaching and development
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Requirements

  • Experience working in financial services and fund accounting is essential
  • Excellent working knowledge of the Investment Association 'Statement of Recommended Practice (SORP) – Financial Statements of UK Authorized Funds'
  • Experience in staff coaching & development
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Good organisational skills, ability to work under pressure and prioritise within tight deadlines while maintaining total accuracy
  • Qualified or working towards a professional accounting qualification (eg ICAS / ACCA)
  • Bachelor's degree / University degree or equivalent experience
  • Self-motivated, People skills, Client focused, Responsible for actions, Structured and organised
