Green Space Technician

**Job Description:**
We are seeking a highly skilled Green Space Technician to join our team at Lancaster City Council. As a key member of our environmental maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep of our parks, open spaces, and streets.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in hard landscaping, with experience in paving, fencing, and small brick works. They will also possess a good understanding of grounds maintenance techniques and practices, including mowing, strimming, hedge cutting, weeding, and litter picking.
A full current UK driving license is essential for this role, as is the ability to tow a trailer. The post holder will be required to sign up to the authorized external DVLA driving license validation organization to manage and monitor employee driving license data.
This role offers a competitive salary of approximately £30,000 - £38,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as a range of benefits including a generous annual leave allowance, Local Government Pension Scheme, and employee benefits such as discounted gym membership and cycle-to-work scheme.
