Bar Manager Position

The Brookwood Club is seeking a highly motivated Bar Manager to join our team. As a Bar Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring a high-quality experience for our members and guests.
You will be the face of the bar, responsible for recruiting, training, and motivating your staff. You will also be responsible for doing regular stock-takes, ordering supplies, and handling deliveries.
Key responsibilities include:
- Recruiting, training, and motivating staff
- Managing stock and supplies
- Handling deliveries and maintaining the condition of beer and wine
- Tending bar and serving members and guests
- Ensuring health and safety rules are adhered to
- Managing cash flow and adhering to budgets
- Dealing with difficult customers
Main tasks include:
- Assisting in creating a warm and welcoming environment for members and guests
- Meeting, greeting, and serving members and their guests in a polite, friendly, speedy, and professional manner
- Changing kegs, casting, taking in deliveries, and restocking the bar
- Ensuring efficient and safe delivery of all snack and beverage orders
- Setting up, clearing, and ensuring the bar areas are clean and well-presented at all times
- Assisting in the setup and preparation and providing service duties for events, as required
Criteria for the role include:
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
- Bar/hospitality management experience (2 years preferred)
- Cash management
- Stock control
The successful candidate will be offered a competitive salary of £20,200 per annum, including accommodation in a large one-bedroom flat above the club. Benefits include company pension, 28 days holiday, and on-site parking for one vehicle if required.
