About the Role

The Head of Service will be accountable for the delivery of the Directorate and Integrated Care Board priorities for CAMHS and adult eating disorder services in Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire. This includes ensuring the KPIs and outcomes for each service are met, and translating this into clear goals and objectives for managers and clinicians.

The role requires a leader who can develop and manage the strategy, vision, and operational delivery for the services, promoting the service and building strong partnership working arrangements across local health and care systems.

Main Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of the role include strategy, policy, and delivery in the following domains:

  1. Quality: ensuring compliance with CQC domains and maintaining high-quality care
  2. Workforce: managing health and social care staff, maximising their skills, and ensuring effective leadership
  3. Finance: managing budgets and resources to achieve operational delivery
  4. Performance: meeting KPIs and outcomes for each service
  5. Strategic Change: driving transformation and innovation across the services
  6. Stakeholder Engagement: building strong partnerships and relationships with local health and care systems

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Substantial experience managing health and social care staff
  • In-depth understanding of the NHS and public services, including commissioning and business intelligence
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to drive transformation and innovation
  • Excellent communication and partnership working skills
