Senior Road Operations Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Foreperson to join our Road Operations team at Clackmannanshire Council. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and supervising a squad of skilled roadworkers, contractors, and other personnel to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of road maintenance and construction projects.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Supervision: Provide guidance, instruction, and supervision to your team to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Work Planning and Coordination: Collaborate with the Roads Supervisor and Contracts Officer to plan and coordinate daily work activities, ensuring that projects are completed on time and to a high standard.
- Health and Safety: Take responsibility for the health and safety of your team, contractors, and the public working on or adjacent to the work site, ensuring that all necessary precautions are taken to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Communication and Liaison: Communicate effectively with members of the public, the workforce, and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth running of works on site.
- Administrative Tasks: Complete paperwork related to working hours, plant, and materials, and order materials as required.
- Flexibility and Availability: Be available to work out-of-hours as required, including winter provision and summer standby rotas.
