Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Road Operations Supervisor. As a key member of our highway maintenance team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our road crews, ensuring that work is carried out efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Instruct Crews

Lead and manage a team of skilled roadworkers, providing guidance and support to ensure that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to carry out their duties.

Programme Daily Work

Work closely with the Roads Supervisor and Contracts Officer to programme the daily work of the crew, ensuring that tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.

Health and Safety

Take responsibility for the health and safety of your team, contractors, and the public working on or adjacent to the work site, ensuring that all necessary precautions are taken to prevent accidents and injuries.

Communication

Communicate effectively with members of the public, the workforce, and other stakeholders to ensure that the smooth running of works on site.

Administrative Tasks

Complete paperwork relating to the working hours of men, plant, and materials, and order materials as required.

Out-of-Hours Working

Participate in out-of-hours working throughout the year as required by the Service, including winter provision and summer standby rotas.

Additional Requirements

As a Senior Road Operations Supervisor, you will be required to undergo a standard disclosure check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Clackmannanshire Council.

Clackmannanshire Council operates a flexible hybrid approach for those roles that allow this type of working. Attendance at the office will be required to meet the needs of the business and to build team and stakeholder relationships.
