About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Rheumatologist to join our dynamic team at University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Trust. As a key member of our Rheumatology department, you will be responsible for providing specialist out-patient opinion and case management, contributing to the ongoing development of rheumatology services for the local population, and participating in training and educational activities.

About Us
University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Trust operates from three main hospitals - Furness General Hospital, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary, and Westmorland General Hospital - as well as a number of community health care premises. Our hospitals provide a range of General Hospital services, including Emergency Departments, Critical/Coronary Care units, and various Consultant-led services.
Person Specification
- MBBS and MRCP, or equivalent
- Full GMC Registration with a licence to practice
- Entry on Specialist Register or in receipt of CCT within six months of interview
- Depth and breadth of Rheumatology Medicine following completion of approved STR training programme or equivalent
- Experience in a special interest that will complement those existing in the department
