Rheumatology Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Rheumatologist to join our dynamic team at University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the ongoing development of rheumatology services for the local population across the Bay. As a Consultant Rheumatologist, you will be required to have appropriate experience in rheumatology and hold or be within 6 months of obtaining certification from the General Medical Council (CCT).
Main Responsibilities- Contribute to the development of rheumatology services for the local population.
- Participate in training and educational activities, administrative, teaching, continuing medical education, and audit activities while maintaining clinical excellence within the service.
You will be part of a team of 5 consultants, 4 specialist registrars, 3 GPSI's, specialist nursing staff, and a fully functional wider MDT, supported by input from all associated specialties.
What We OfferWe operate from three main hospitals - Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal, as well as a number of community health care premises.
Person Specification- MBBS and MRCP, or equivalent.
- Full GMC Registration with a licence to practice.
- Entry on Specialist Register or in receipt of CCT within six months of interview.
