Lighthouse Games is a new AAA studio in the gaming industry, renowned for its talented team and ambitious projects. As a Senior Materials Artist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Art team with your expertise in material creation on a groundbreaking new IP.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop high-quality PBR materials that meet AAA standards, enhancing the visual fidelity of our projects.
  • Collaborate with Environment, Foliage, Scanning, Character, and Vehicle art teams to author sophisticated materials and shaders that integrate seamlessly across different aspects of the game.
  • Work with Technical Artists and Render Engineers to define new material shaders.
  • Establish and document the material creation pipeline, ensuring clear parameters and workflows that enhance efficiency and consistency across the team.
  • Identify opportunities to increase quality or productivity.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in creating realistic PBR-compliant materials.
  • Proven experience working with real-time game projects and render engines.
  • Proficiency with node-based material authoring tools such as Substance Suite.
  • Proficiency with 3D authoring and rendering software such as 3ds Max, Blender, Marmoset, or equivalent.
  • Strong organisational skills and disciplined work habits.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of photogrammetry and photography.
  • Knowledge of geology, architecture, or dendrology.
  • Interest in motorsport.
