Join Lighthouse Games as a Materials Artist

Lighthouse Games is a new AAA studio in Leamington Spa, renowned for its talented team and ambitious projects. As a Materials Artist, you will be part of a collaborative environment where you can create world-class content and learn from the best in the industry.

As a dedicated Materials Artist, you will support the Art team with your expertise in material creation on a groundbreaking new IP. You will work closely with the Art Director, Technical Artists, Scanning Artists, and leverage the power of Unreal Engine to create stunning materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and create realistic PBR materials that meet AAA standards
  • Collaborate with Environment, Foliage, Scanning, Character, and Vehicle art teams to author materials and shaders
  • Work with Technical Artists and Render Engineers to define new material shaders
  • Develop and document the material creation pipeline and parameters
  • Identify opportunities to increase quality or productivity

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in creating realistic PBR compliant materials
  • Experience working with real-time game projects and render engines
  • Proficiency with node-based material authoring tools such as Substance Suite
  • Proficiency with 3D authoring and rendering software such as 3ds Max, Blender, Marmoset, or equivalent
  • Strong organizational skills and disciplined work habits

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of photogrammetry and photography
  • Knowledge of geology, architecture, or dendrology
  • Interest in motorsport
