About the Role:

We are seeking a motivated individual to join our health and safety team as a Health and Safety Advisor. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who aspires to a long-term career in safety.

Job Overview:

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring effective management of our operations, maintaining legal compliance, and promoting a positive safety culture. We seek someone with a good working knowledge of safety principles and ideally a NEBOSH National General Certificate qualification.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and raise actions for improvement.
  • Deliver training sessions on various safety topics, including inductions, to ensure a high level of awareness among staff.
  • Monitor outstanding actions and ensure timely completion to maintain momentum.
  • Identify best practices and share knowledge across all sites to promote consistency and excellence.
  • Provide expert advice, guidance, and support on health and safety matters to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and managers to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Promote and assist in the development of our Integrated Management System (IMS).
  • Lead audits throughout the sites and report findings to inform improvements.
  • Produce detailed reports on site safety and health and safety activities.
  • Support the development and review of site safety documents, including risk assessments, safe systems of work, and procedures.
  • Design and deliver engaging toolbox talks to engage staff.
  • Investigate accidents and near misses, analyze findings, and provide recommendations for improvement.

We seek individuals who are commercially aware, able to plan, organize, and deliver projects effectively, and have excellent communication skills.

What We Offer:
