Specialist Learning Support Assistant for Leeds Schools

We are seeking a dedicated and caring SEND Teaching Assistant to provide one-to-one and group support to pupils in schools across Leeds.
The successful candidate will have experience working in a specialist education, mainstream or care setting, with a Level 2 or 3 qualification. They will also possess a good understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines.
We require the ability to be flexible, a team player who can communicate effectively with children, staff, and parents, building positive relationships along the way.
In this role, you will contribute to creating a supportive learning environment that promotes the well-being and academic success of our students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support pupils on a one-to-one and group basis to enhance their learning and development.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with children, staff, and parents to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
- Implement strategies to promote pupil engagement, motivation, and inclusion in educational activities.
- Maintain accurate records of pupil progress, including observations, assessments, and evaluations.
- Foster a safe and inclusive learning environment that prioritizes the well-being and safety of all students.
Requirements:
- Level 2 or 3 qualification in a relevant field (e.g., childcare, education, or health and social care).
- Experience working in a specialist education, mainstream, or care setting.
- Good understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work flexibly as part of a team.
