About the Role

CK Group is partnering with a leading UK life sciences biotechnology company to recruit an experienced Virologist at a Principal Scientist level with significant project management experience.

The Company

An industry-leading clinical development services organization based in East London.

The Role
  • Provide scientific expertise, leadership, and advice to multiple projects.
  • Develop training plans and deliver study management training programs alongside line managers.
  • Train, mentor, and supervise Senior Research Scientists and Study Leads.
  • Client-facing role, supporting the setup of client projects.
Responsibilities
  • Provide full Study Management function.
  • Offer technical advice and expertise in clinical study design, aligned with client requirements.
  • Attend client meetings and conferences as a technical expert in virology, viral challenge model, and GMP Virus.
  • Provide expert understanding of the mechanism of action of viral infection and antiviral drugs and vaccines.
  • Have an expert knowledge in the field of virology, as well as a thorough understanding of developments in assay technologies.
  • Oversee the initiation of study plans and assign resources for the execution of scientific experiments.
Your Background
  • Degree in a relevant scientific subject or PhD in Biological Science.
  • Expert Virology knowledge gained throughout academia and industry.
  • Good working knowledge of GCP labs and ICH GCP standards.
  • Ability to supervise and mentor.
  • Experienced in project management and providing technical support to senior key stakeholders and clients.
