Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Housing Policy Assistant to join our Strategic Housing Programme Team at Cheshire West and Chester Council.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the team, including managing existing homes, delivering new homes, and enabling affordable housing for sale to first-time buyers.
- Operate management information systems for collating and monitoring statistical analysis reports.
- Assess affordable housing applications and respond to customer enquiries to aid the effective delivery of affordable housing across the borough.
- Monitor statistics and interpret data to inform housing policy decisions.
- Collaborate with the team to deliver strategic housing initiatives and projects.
Requirements:
- Sound analytical skills and experience of monitoring statistics and interpreting data.
- Good understanding of housing need and ability to assess affordable housing applications.
- Full computer literacy with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to work in a dynamic and supportive team environment.
