About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced ASD specialist to join our team as a support worker. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with individuals with ASD and a passion for providing tailored support that meets the unique needs of each client.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement personalised learning plans that cater to the individual's needs and goals
- Provide one-to-one support to enable the client to develop essential life skills and participate in community activities
- Collaborate with the client's family and other professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to support
- Monitor progress and make adjustments to the support plan as needed
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A minimum of 2-5 hours per day, Monday to Friday (10-15 hours per week)
- Experience working with individuals with ASD and a strong understanding of their needs and challenges
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A patient and empathetic approach to support
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
