About the Role

The successful candidate will lead on developing and implementing business service standards, ensuring accountability and responsibility. They will be responsible for managing relationships with commissioned services leaders, guaranteeing clear expectations, adherence to statutory legislation, and delivery of positive outcomes for children, young people, and families.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead on developing and implementing directorate business Service standards, outlining expectations and ways of working, ensuring responsibility and accountability.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on all Children Strategic Commissioning performance indicators, presenting findings to the directorate's management team, corporate management, and elected members.
  • Facilitate change and innovation, building a working culture that encourages innovative, smart, and collaborative working.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of Payments, Business Processing, Data, and Performance Management services.
  • Ensure high-quality supervision, workload management, attendance, personal development, and performance of staff within teams, in accordance with Council policy and guidance.
Requirements
  • Experience of community and/or group work.
  • Knowledge of children's health and social care systems, agencies, and relevant legislation.
