We are Richmond and Wandsworth Council, a leading local authority committed to delivering better outcomes for children, young people, and their families. As part of our Children's Services - Business and Resources department, we are seeking an experienced Commissioner to drive innovation and improvement in service provision.

Key Responsibilities

As Commissioning and Transformation Lead, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing contracts for budget, quality, and performance, and leading on procurement and improvement exercises with elements of service redesign and transformation.
  • Developing and delivering high-level governance reports, needs assessments, service reviews, and data analysis on budget and financial oversight.
  • Driving innovation with strategic forward planning that links into the children's and corporate strategies to achieve high-quality provision and value for money.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Good management skills with the ability to provide support to members of staff and colleagues.
  • Project management skills with up-to-date knowledge of national policy and guidance.
  • Excellent communication, relationship building, and partnership working skills.
  • Experience of outcome-focused commissioning with good negotiation skills.
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is £66,318-£80,874 per annum, plus a range of benefits including 40 days annual leave (including Bank Holidays), flexible working, and a generous pension plan.
