About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Claims and Complaints Controller to join our team at LV= General Insurance. As a key member of our claims management team, you will be responsible for handling complex and large home claims, analyzing claims performance, and monitoring industry trends.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage technical claims over £150k and up to £750k, including identification and pursuit of recoveries.
  • Act as a technical referral point for less experienced team members for claims up to £750k.
  • Support the Senior Complaint Representative with queries on large loss claims, subsidence, or complex claims.
  • Develop coaching, mentoring, and training packages to support the technical development of GI operational teams.
  • Monitor home claims performance and supplier performance to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in handling major and complex home claims, including fire, flood, escape of water, and subsidence.
  • Sound knowledge of large loss reinstatement processes, building practice, and regulations.
  • Ability to review effectiveness of claim handling protocols and identify trends or changes to improve claim outcomes.
  • Good team building and people development skills.
  • Ability to work without supervision and be self-motivated.
