We are proud to offer a competitive salary of £50,000 - £65,000 per annum for this challenging yet rewarding role. As a Specialist Mental Health Therapist, you will play a crucial part in our team's efforts to provide high-quality care to autistic individuals. Your expertise in clinical psychology will enable you to deliver specialist psychological assessments and interventions, while your experience in working with complex mental health issues will help you navigate challenging situations effectively.
The role involves leading the development and implementation of our Intensive Support Team, which includes a diagnostic assessment service and an Intensive Support Team (IST) that supports autistic adults without a co-occurring intellectual disability. You will work closely with external partners to develop supportive networks and contribute to the provision of a range of interventions, both directly with individuals and their families, and via consultation with their networks.
Key responsibilities include providing specialist psychological assessments, formulating and implementing plans for the formal psychological treatment and/or management of clients' mental health problems, evaluating and making decisions about treatment options, undertaking risk assessment and risk management, and acting as a care coordinator to ensure the provision of a care package appropriate for clients' needs.
