Hygiene Operative

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Hygiene Operative to join our team at Avara Foods in Hereford. As a key member of our Hygiene team, you will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene in our production facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to health and safety protocols at all times
- Follow food safety guidelines and regulations
- Contribute to the achievement of individual and departmental targets
- Cooperate in the continuous improvement of quality, safety, and productivity standards
- Manual handling of plant and equipment
- Isolation of plant and machinery
- Meet housekeeping and hygiene standards individually and as part of a team
- Compliance with food safety and HSE guidelines
- Carry out instructions as given by your Team Leader/Management
Requirements:
- Good level of English and basic numeracy skills
- Ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively
- Good attention to detail and a flexible attitude to tasks
About Us:
Avara Foods is one of the UK's leading food businesses, supplying chicken and turkey to major supermarkets and well-known restaurants. We own and manage our entire supply chain, from farms to factory and all the way to the customer door.
Our Hereford Site:
Our Hereford plant is our largest site, processing chicken products across two factory facilities. We employ approximately 1,500 people and process 1.9m birds per week.
