Night Hygiene Operative

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Night Hygiene Operative to join our team at Avara Foods in Hereford, Herefordshire. As a key member of our Hygiene team, you will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and safety in our production facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to health and safety protocols at all times
- Follow food safety rules and guidelines
- Meet individual and department targets
- Cooperate in the continuous improvement of quality, safety, and productivity standards
- Manual handling of plant and equipment
- Isolation of plant and machinery
- Meet housekeeping and hygiene standards individually and as part of a team
- Compliance with food safety and HSE guidelines
- Carry out instructions as given by your Team Leader/Management
Requirements:
- Good level of English and basic numeracy skills
- Ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively
- Good attention to detail and a flexible attitude to tasks
- Experience within a production/manufacturing environment is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided
About Avara Foods:
Avara Foods is one of the UK's leading food businesses, supplying chicken and turkey to the country's major supermarkets and well-known restaurants. We own and manage our entire supply chain, from farms to factory and all the way to the customer door.
Hereford Site:
The Hereford plant is our largest site and processes chicken products across two factory facilities, Grandstand Road and Yazor Road. Grandstand handles processing, whole bird production, and portioning, with Yazor responsible for portioning and added value.
