Job Overview

Barts Health NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Neonatal Transport Clinical Development Specialist to join our team. This exciting opportunity will allow the successful candidate to enhance the skills and confidence of our continually developing team.

The Neonatal Transport Clinical Development Specialist will provide continuing support to all clinical staff in their delivery of nursing care in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team. They will also develop and implement standards/programmes of care, provide advice and support to develop methods to evaluate care delivered, and ensure that effective communication exists between themselves, nursing colleagues, medical staff, multidisciplinary teams, patients and/or their relatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide continuing support to all clinical staff in their delivery of nursing care in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team
  • Develop and implement standards/programmes of care
  • Provide advice and support to develop methods to evaluate care delivered
  • Ensure that effective communication exists between themselves, nursing colleagues, medical staff, multidisciplinary teams, patients and/or their relatives
  • Deliver educational programmes in relation to Clinical Practice and Professional Development to support service delivery

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have:

  • RGN/RSCN / RN Child with current NMC Registration Neonatal Intensive Care
  • Current Tertiary NICU/PICU/Retrieval Role – minimum 3 years at B6/7
  • ENB 405 or equivalent
  • Assessing and Mentoring Qualification
  • Educated to degree level or working towards
  • Evidence of NICU/PICU teaching experience
  • Evidence of advanced Neonatal/Paediatric resuscitation training
