Senior PHP Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior PHP Developer to join our internal IT systems development team. As a key member of our team, you will work in an agile environment with other teams to deliver business applications based on web technologies.

Key Responsibilities
-------------------

* Design, code, test, document, maintain, and support web-based applications
* Contribute to requirements, design specification, and technical documentation
* Research emerging technologies and products; recommend suitable products and plan implementation
* Contribute to project planning (agile development)
* Lead code reviews; mentor and coach
* Support and suggest architectural decisions

Requirements
------------

* 4+ years' commercial software development experience using PHP
* 1+ year commercial experience using NodeJS
* Ideal experience using Symfony
* Experience with Object-oriented techniques and relational databases (MySQL or Postgres would be ideal)
* Collaborative approach to develop and maintain professional working relationships
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Experience mentoring and coaching and leading code reviews
* Experience making or supporting architectural decisions

About the Role
