Child Care and Support Practitioner

A welcoming primary school in North London is seeking a dedicated support practitioner to work 1:1 with a young boy in their Reception class. The pupil requires additional support to manage high emotional needs, and this role offers a meaningful opportunity to make a positive impact in an inclusive and nurturing school environment.
The ideal candidate will have EYFS experience, although this is not essential. A compassionate and proactive individual who can hit the ground running is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide focused 1:1 support for a Reception pupil with high emotional needs, helping to foster emotional regulation and build self-esteem.
- Assist with implementing strategies to engage the pupil in classroom and social activities.
- Work closely with the class teacher and SEN team to ensure consistent support for the child's development.
- Adapt to the needs of the child and use initiative to overcome challenges as they arise.
Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 per year.
