A rewarding opportunity has arisen for a motivated and compassionate Child and Family Support Practitioner to join the Australian Childhood Foundation's Child Trauma Service. As part of our team, you will work closely with children, young people, families, and their care systems to ensure a high-quality intake and initial response.

About the Job:

In this challenging and rewarding role, you will promote the ability of children and young people to recover from the effects of abuse, family violence, trauma, and loss. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring a multi-systemic, integrated, coordinated, consistent, and holistic response to the needs of children, young people, and parents/carers.
  • Promoting relational stability and improving opportunities for children and young people to successfully engage and connect with their parent/carer.
  • Ensuring that children and young people are provided with opportunities and assistance to participate in decisions that affect their lives.
Key Responsibilities:

This position requires a demonstrated commitment to working collaboratively and the capacity to negotiate and liaise with volunteers, including parents/carers, DFFH, other agencies, and the community. A current Working With Children Check is also required.

Compensation Package:

This role offers a competitive salary package of $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, plus superannuation and salary packaging. In addition, you will have access to a comprehensive benefits program, including:
