Role Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Patient Transport Operations Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of patient transport services, including coordinating journeys and managing staff.

Responsibilities:
  1. Coordinate patient journeys and manage staff to ensure efficient and safe operations.
  2. Provide timely communication links with the public and healthcare professionals, answering queries or complaints.
  3. Utilise control systems to record patient information, plan routes and manage resources.
  4. Pass journey details to vehicle crew staff and update computer systems.
  5. Liaise with other agencies via phone and email.
  6. Undertake duties according to service procedures and instructions to achieve performance standards.
  7. Participate in ongoing service quality reviews.
  8. Attend training sessions for personal development.
  9. Assist with special projects as required.
Requirements:
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills using telephones and emails regularly.
  • Able to work under pressure, handle multiple tasks effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Good general education and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Route planning and scheduling expertise.
