Mental Health Support Specialist

MATRIX ACADEMY TRUST is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Mental Health Support Assistant. This role involves working with pupils, staff, and parents to provide emotional support, guidance, and resources to promote positive mental health and wellbeing.

About the Role
The successful candidate will work closely with our Safeguarding and Pastoral Team to deliver one-to-one and small group interventions that support pupils' mental health. You will use data-driven approaches to create personalized strategies that maximize support for pupils, while also supporting staff to improve their understanding and awareness of mental health issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver one-to-one and small group interventions to support pupils' mental health and wellbeing
- Use data to inform and evaluate intervention strategies, ensuring maximum impact and effectiveness
- Collaborate with staff to enhance whole-school understanding and awareness of mental health issues
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A relevant qualification in mental health practice, such as a degree or postgraduate degree
- Registration with HCPC/BACP (Health and Care Professions Council/British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy)

Salary and Benefits
