Supporting Library Activities for Children

Lancashire Volunteer Partnership is committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment for children and young people. We are seeking volunteers to assist with library activities, helping to create a positive and engaging experience for our young visitors.

As a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to work with children and young people, helping to develop their literacy and social skills. You will be part of a team that is dedicated to providing high-quality services to our community.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with setting up and running children's library activities, including storytime and craft sessions
  • Help to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for children and young people
  • Support the library team in delivering high-quality services to our community
  • Develop your skills and knowledge through training and support
  • Contribute to the development of new programs and services for children and young people

Requirements:

  • Be a good communicator and team player
  • Have patience and understanding when working with children and young people
  • Be able to commit to regular volunteering hours
  • Be willing to undergo training and support to develop your skills and knowledge
