The Role
We are seeking an IT Support Specialist to join our IT Help Desk team, which plays a critical role in supporting our colleagues across the organization. As an IT Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our employees, including assisting with problems and resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to employees via phone, email, and in-person
- Assist with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
- Record and monitor support calls to ensure problems are resolved swiftly and accurately
- Identify and escalate issues that require third-party intervention
- Participate in PC, server, and network update and implementation projects
Requirements
- Previous experience in a telephone-based support team using remote control technologies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work proactively without supervision
- Education to SQA Higher Level or equivalent
- Comprehensive knowledge of PCs and Microsoft products
- Understanding of TCP/IP networking concepts and smartphone email configuration
