We are seeking an experienced Medical Secretary to join our team within the Community Medicine department at PCCT.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to the Community medicine specialties.
  • Support specialties with dashboard validation, clinic letters, and complaint responses.
  • Draft and type correspondence, reports, memos, e-mails, minutes, and other documentation as required.
  • Deal with enquiries by letter, fax, e-mail, and telephone from staff, external parties, and other departments.

The Community Medicine directorate includes Rheumatology, Diabetes and Endocrinology, Clinical Immunology/Allergy, MIS, CMDU, Dermatology, Anticoagulation service, Sexual health, and Chemical Pathology.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is £30,000 - £40,000 depending on experience. We offer a range of benefits including flexible working hours, professional development opportunities, and a supportive work environment.

Requirements
  • RSA II Typing/Word Processing or equivalent
  • GCE/GCSE English or equivalent, Grade C or above.
  • AMSPAR Diploma (or previous medical secretarial experience)
  • RSA III Typing/Word Processing or equivalent
  • Shorthand qualification, 60 wpm or above.
