We are seeking a dedicated Paediatric Eating Disorder Nurse Specialist to join our team at the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a specialist nurse, you will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care to children and young people with eating disorders. This role involves developing and implementing individualised, comprehensive, robust plans of care for patients admitted to the ward, including emotional safety plans and behaviour support plans.
You will work closely with the ward team to deliver the current standard ED care plans for typical ED patients and support the creation and delivery of individualised care plans for complex ED patients. Additionally, you will teach CYP and their parents/carers basic emotional regulation techniques to help reduce anxiety and support their mental wellbeing during ward admissions and on discharge home.
This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and expertise in caring for children and young people with eating disorders. You will work collaboratively with the ward team to ensure that patients receive the best possible care. A competitive salary and benefits package is offered, including access to occupational health services and extensive staff discounts.
In this role, you will also participate in local and national networks to stay updated with ED/ MH knowledge and skills.
