Pediatric Gastroenterology Clinical Nurse Specialist Role

Estimate Salary: £37,338 - £44,962 per annum.
This position requires a highly skilled and experienced pediatric clinical nurse specialist to work within our gastroenterology team. The role involves caring for children with diverse gastroenterological conditions, including inflammatory bowel disease, coeliac disease, eating disorders, and liver disease.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialized nursing care to children with these conditions, ensuring that they receive the highest level of care and support. This will involve working closely with the multidisciplinary team in hospital and the community to ensure a coordinated quality service.
The ideal candidate will have experience of undertaking research or audit projects, and will be able to demonstrate evidence of commitment to research-based practice or project work undertaken. They will also have a relevant accredited post-registration qualification at level 3 or equivalent, and a commitment to the provision of high-quality nursing care.
We are looking for an individual who is passionate about delivering excellent patient care, and has a strong understanding of national and local specialty-specific issues. The successful candidate will be able to work alone or as part of a team, and will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities:- To provide specialized nursing care to children with gastroenterological problems, including inflammatory bowel disease, coeliac disease, eating disorders, and liver disease.
- To improve standards of care for all children with gastroenterological conditions attending.
- To work as a member of the multi-disciplinary team, co-managing the caseload of families seen by the Paediatric Gastroenterology team.
- To develop and strengthen clinical and educational links with Health Visitors, Practice Nurses, Community Nurses, and other regional medical and paramedical staff.
