We are seeking an experienced Clinical Administrative Coordinator to join our team at Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust. As a key member of our Surgical Support Team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care. Your primary responsibility will be to provide dedicated administrative and clerical support to patients' pathways of care, from referral to treatment and discharge.

You will work closely with Surgical Coordinators and clinical staff to develop efficient integrated pathways that optimize resource utilization and ensure patients receive timely and effective treatment. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing advanced communication and organisational skills, leveraging initiative and problem-solving skills to drive results.
  • Maintaining excellent attention to detail and passion for patient care.
  • Ensuring efficient use of theatre and endoscopy sessions through effective planning and coordination.
  • Liaising with NHS colleagues, patients, and the general public to deliver exceptional service.
  • Managing waiting lists in accordance with the Patient Access Policy, meeting government and JAG waiting time standards.
  • Responsible for adding and removing patients from waiting lists, recording relevant patient information accurately.
  • Monitoring the Patient Target List daily to prevent breaches of government access standards.
  • Managing waiting lists for patients on the cancer pathway requiring endoscopy procedures and/or further surveillance appointments.
