The post holder will lead the development and implementation of innovative medical education initiatives, focusing on the Phase 1c Medicine in the Community Apprenticeship (MICA) placement. This leadership opportunity is ideal for those interested in advancing their skills as medical educators and contributing to the Department's undergraduate GP curriculum.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead educational programs for the MICA placement
  • Create teaching materials and resources for medical students
  • Collaborate with the Faculty Development Team to ensure high-quality teaching and learning experiences
  • Evaluate and improve the effectiveness of the MICA placement
  • Work closely with the Phase 1c team to integrate MICA into the undergraduate GP curriculum
Requirements
  • Certificate of Completion of Training in General Practice or equivalent
  • A postgraduate qualification in Medical Education
  • Significant experience in medical education and leadership
  • Demonstrable scholarly activity and research experience
