Internal Audit Professional

As an Internal Auditor at Chapman Tate Associates, you will play a vital role in ensuring the integrity and effectiveness of our financial reporting and internal controls. You will assist in the execution of the annual audit plan, contribute to the Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) program, and perform operational testing and financial audits.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in the execution and delivery of the annual audit plan, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
- Contribute to the SOX program, including walk-throughs, testing, remediation testing, deficiency analysis, and reporting, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Perform risk-based operational and financial audits to identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations for enhanced controls.
- Present and discuss audit findings, recommendations, and conclusions with management, ensuring effective communication and implementation of audit recommendations.
- Manage and train junior team members, providing guidance and support to ensure their professional development and growth.
- Track outstanding recommendations to ensure adequate implementation and follow-up on audit findings.
- Draft comprehensive audit reports for all management levels, providing clear and concise summaries of audit results and recommendations.
- Prepare flowcharts, identify key controls, and draft risk-based audit programs to ensure thorough and effective audit coverage.
- Assist with special projects as requested by the Internal Audit Manager, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
- Identify potential process and business improvement opportunities, providing recommendations for enhanced efficiency and effectiveness.
- Attend and present at meetings as requested, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with stakeholders.
- Prepare and present status updates as requested, providing timely and accurate information on audit progress and results.
