Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of a comprehensive internal audit program tailored to the specific objectives, risks, and regulatory requirements of our business.
  • Conduct risk assessments and identify areas of operational, financial, and compliance risk and deficiency, providing strategic recommendations for mitigations.
  • Plan, execute, and manage internal audit engagements, including evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, processes, and procedures.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Prepare and present detailed audit reports, findings, and recommendations to senior management and the audit committee, facilitating informed decision-making and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor and follow up on the implementation of audit recommendations, tracking progress and providing guidance to ensure timely and effective resolution of identified issues.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends, regulatory changes, and industry developments within the automotive sector, proactively advising on potential impacts and opportunities for enhancement.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements and automation within the Legal & Corporate Affairs function.
Requirements
  • Able to operate in a fast-paced rapidly growing business environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field and chartered accountant qualified (CA/ACCA). Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, MSc) and professional certifications (e.g., CIA, CISA, CPA) preferred. Also well versed in the ICFR control framework.
  • Broad experience working for a Big 4 accounting firm with a deep understanding of auditing standards, methodologies, and practices including the ICFR control framework.
  • Subsequent experience in internal audit, risk management, or related fields within an automotive or technology industry, with a strong understanding of sector regulatory requirements.
  • Proven expertise in conducting risk assessments, designing internal control frameworks, and implementing audit programmes in complex, multinational organisations.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and draw actionable insights to drive business performance.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders and present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Demonstrated management capabilities, including the ability to inspire and motivate others towards achieving common goals.
  • Sound judgment, integrity, and a commitment to upholding ethical standards and professional integrity in all aspects of work.
