Civils Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Civils Supervisor to join our team in Glasgow and surrounding areas.

Circet UK is a leading provider of specialist services to the Telecommunications, Transport Infrastructure, and Power Sectors in Ireland and the UK. We are driven to deliver innovative solutions that meet our clients' expectations while adapting to their changing requirements.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Managing workflows, surveying, and programming work streams for the supply chain, and organizing staff to carry out required works efficiently.
  • Managing the full project lifecycle from allocation to closure, including quality management and the return of relevant packs.
  • Addressing non-conformance and non-compliance early to minimize cost impact.
  • Coaching and mentoring field operatives to improve quality and compliance with NRSWA 1991, TMA 2004, safety at Civils, and activations.
  • Providing regular updates and reports to the Works Control and Noticing departments.
  • Carrying out in-progress audits and coaching sub-contractors on site to identify and implement innovations that improve site safety.
  • Identifying and preparing submissions for DFEs (Design for Excellence) for client approval.
  • Maintaining accurate daily records of works planned and issues encountered.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Experience and a strong understanding of the SROH (Site Risk and Opportunity Handbook).
  • NRSWA accreditation to Supervisor level.
  • Knowledge of WIP (Work in Progress) vs Cash.
  • Strategic and Commercial Awareness, understanding business impact of decisions and operational requests.
  • Understanding of permit-to-work schemes and noticing.
  • Experience in dealing with external stakeholders and effective communication.
  • Ability to understand client quality requirements.
  • IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health) desirable.
