Job Title: Learning Support Assistant LSA

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Brook Street Social Care. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with additional learning needs in educational settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide assistance to students with learning difficulties, disabilities, or other barriers to learning to ensure they can engage with coursework and practical tasks related to animal care, welfare, and management.
  • Help students during classroom lessons, ensuring they understand the material being taught and can complete tasks such as note-taking, reading, or following instructions.
  • Help students become more independent in their learning by promoting self-confidence, time management, and study skills.
  • Accompany students on residential, day trip or work experience as required.
  • Ensure students adhere to health and safety protocols, particularly in environments where animals are present.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working as a learning support assistant, teacher, or in a related field.
  • Ability to work with students with a range of learning needs and abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
