Job DescriptionWe are seeking an Academic Support Worker to join our team. As an Academic Support Worker, you will provide academic support to disabled students studying in Higher and Further Education. This will involve reading, taking notes in lectures, seminars and tutorials, and providing mobility, orientation, sighted assistance, lab support and access support on and around campus as needed.
Responsibilities- Provide academic support to disabled students, including reading and taking notes in lectures, seminars and tutorials
- Provide mobility, orientation, sighted assistance, lab support and access support on and around campus as needed
- Work with students to develop strategies to support their academic success
- Educated to degree level or studying a degree
- Experience in taking accurate and concise notes
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
