Key Responsibilities- Lead electrical services design on large projects and oversee overall MEP on small to medium-sized projects.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and other professionals.
- Define and agree briefs with clients, ensuring a clear understanding of project requirements.
- Represent Hoare Lea at project meetings, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Manage and prioritize the workload of a project team, including specialist groups.
- Host and chair internal project team meetings, ensuring timely and effective decision-making.
- Contribute to the professional development of individual team members, providing guidance and support.
- Actively lead self and identify opportunities for career development, providing support for others.
- Monitor project expenditure and reporting to team leaders, ensuring financial management and control.
- Ensure quality standards and technical accuracy are delivered, maintaining high-quality electrical design solutions.
- Excellent technical knowledge in Electrical Design Engineering and a thorough understanding of Building Services Engineering and interdisciplinary design through all stages of the design process.
- Previous consultancy experience, appreciating the importance of complementary specialisms such as sustainability, intelligent buildings, fire engineering, and acoustics in the design of buildings.
- Autonomous approach, able to lead small to medium-sized projects and take a brief from the project lead on large projects, delivering and controlling tasks required.
- Appreciation of client needs, with the ability to face clients and understand their requirements.
- Understand and identify resource needs, ensuring effective project management.
- Mentor and supervise junior members of staff, providing guidance and support.
- Chartered engineer or close to depending on grade.
