About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced dietitian to join our team at Barts Health NHS Trust. As a senior dietitian, you will be responsible for providing expert nutritional care and counselling to patients on the Acute Assessment and Frail Elderly Units (AAU and FAU) at Whipps Cross Hospital.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide highly specialist nutritional care and counselling to patients on the AAU and FAU
  • Support the staff of the AAU and FAU in identifying and referring patients who need expert dietetic support
  • Supervise junior dietitians and provide clinical education to graduate standard
  • Liaise with community colleagues to ensure safe discharge and prevention of admission to hospital
  • Conduct research and audit to ensure that practice is evidence-based

Person Specification

We are looking for a dietitian with significant experience working in a broad variety of specialisms, including older people's medicine. You should have excellent communication and networking skills, be a strong team member with good strategic vision, and have demonstrable good leadership skills.
