About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Aldi Stores as an Assistant Store Manager, where you will play a key role in helping to run a multi-million pound store. As a people manager, you will be responsible for motivating and developing a diverse and talented team to deliver excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Store Manager in managing the day-to-day operations of the store
  • Lead and develop a team of retail professionals to achieve sales targets and provide excellent customer service
  • Manage stock levels, inventory, and store displays to ensure maximum sales and visual appeal
  • Collaborate with the Store Manager to develop and implement store plans and strategies to drive sales and customer engagement
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, and maintain a safe and secure working environment
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a retail management role, with a track record of achieving sales targets and developing high-performing teams
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, and to travel to other stores as required
  • Knowledge of retail operations, including stock management, inventory control, and visual merchandising

Please note that the salary displayed is based on a 45-hour contract. Aldi Stores also offer 32, 36, and 40-hour contracts, and the salary would be pro-rated accordingly.
