Job Title: Procurement Assistant

Location: West Malling, Kent

Salary: £30,000 per annum

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Procurement Assistant to join our dynamic team in West Malling. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for assisting in managing the procurement process, including sourcing, purchasing, and negotiating with suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing the procurement process, including sourcing, purchasing, and negotiating with suppliers.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels to ensure timely supply of materials.
  • Process purchase orders and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to ensure timely payments and resolve discrepancies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms.
  • Assist in managing contracts and service agreements.
  • Support the procurement manager in delivering cost-effective strategies and solutions.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Experience in a purchasing or procurement role is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently within a team and independently.
  • High level of attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
