About the Role:
Advance TRS is seeking to enhance its Delivery team with a Project Engineer or Contracts Engineer who will play a pivotal role in project execution. This position offers the flexibility of hybrid working arrangements.
This is a permanent or contract opportunity.
You will report directly to the Project Manager and collaborate closely with the Project/Construction Manager to ensure an efficient and cost-effective plant design and procurement strategy. Your role will be critical in ensuring timely information dissemination to facilitate construction, commissioning, and operational readiness in accordance with the Contract Programme. Additionally, you will provide essential cost data for forecasting and evaluating variations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor project expenditures to ensure they remain within the tender or revised allowances.
- Ensure timely submission of all payment applications.
- Complete and submit contract reviews and monthly forecasts punctually.
- Foster and maintain strong client relationships at all levels.
- Support the Project Management strategy.
- Establish and uphold effective contract filing systems.
- Assist in developing the contract programme; track progress and generate reports.
- Provide necessary data for the timely creation of Operation & Maintenance manuals.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Engage with site management regarding design and procurement matters.
- Oversee subcontractor performance.
- Assist in preparing construction completion and handover documentation.
- Commit to your professional development by participating in external networking, conferences, and industry groups to stay informed about changes and innovations.
- Maintain a positive, solution-oriented approach to work, providing transparent and constructive feedback.
- Undertake additional duties, training, and/or hours of work as required, consistent with the responsibilities of this role.
- Ensure confidentiality is upheld at all times.
- Collaborate closely with design teams to ensure timely progression of quality solutions.
- Evaluate innovative solutions and processes.
- Contribute to monthly risk and opportunity assessments.
- Ensure designs are safe for construction, commissioning, operation, and maintenance.
- Complete the capitalisation process.
About You:
Essential Qualifications:
- Fundamental background in Electrical Engineering.
- Familiarity with various contract conditions, particularly NEC.
- Engineering/Technical qualification (minimum HNC) is required.
- Experience in supply chain management.
- Understanding of water treatment processes.
- Knowledge of CDM and Health & Safety regulations.
