About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a PR Manager and take ownership of a new consumer PR programme with ambitious goals. We're looking for an experienced PR professional with a strong understanding of the national consumer media landscape to help us raise awareness of temporary car insurance and cement our category leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute consumer PR campaigns that support business objectives, working closely with the product and commercial teams.
  • Manage a content calendar, including press releases, media outreach, and social media engagement, to drive consumer awareness and education.
  • Provide an industry-leading press office, answering media queries, and managing spokesperson briefings and high-profile interviews.
  • Monitor industry trends and news to identify opportunities for expert commentary and thought leadership.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with consumer media, trade media, and industry influencers.
  • Support the policy and regulation team with PR support for public affairs initiatives.
  • Manage and train spokespeople, coordinating their calendars for press and broadcast interviews.
  • Act as day-to-day lead for the PR agency, ensuring value is obtained from external support.
  • Record and report on media coverage, tracking results and providing insights for future campaigns.
What We're Looking For
  • Proven experience in consumer PR, with a strong understanding of the insurance industry and its trends.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills, with the ability to articulate complex topics in a consumer-friendly way.
  • Ability to manage priorities, make strategic decisions, and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and insights to inform PR strategies.
  • Ability to think creatively and develop innovative PR campaigns that drive results.
