Job Summary

This role involves overseeing the daily operations of our food service department, ensuring that patients, staff, and visitors receive high-quality food and beverages in a safe and efficient manner. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of catering professionals, implementing quality improvement initiatives, and maintaining compliance with food safety regulations.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Food Service Management: Oversee the planning, preparation, and delivery of meals to patients, staff, and visitors, ensuring that food is safe, nutritious, and meets dietary requirements.
  • Team Leadership: Manage a team of catering professionals, providing guidance, support, and coaching to ensure excellent performance and job satisfaction.
  • Quality Improvement: Develop and implement strategies to improve food service quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Compliance: Ensure that food service operations comply with food safety regulations, industry standards, and internal policies.
  • Financial Management: Manage food service budgets, monitor expenditure, and optimize resources to achieve financial targets.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, including hospital management, clinical teams, and patients, to ensure that food service needs are met.


Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you will need:




  • Degree in Hospitality, Nutrition, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in food service management
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and industry standards
  • Able to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to learn and develop


Salary:

£45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience
