Wealth Management Firm Seeks Experienced Paraplanner

Blakemore Recruitment is assisting a well-established wealth management company in finding a skilled Paraplanner to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a diploma in paraplanning and a solid understanding of financial services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend client meetings with financial planners to take detailed notes and transcribe meeting notes into fact-finding documents.
  • Assist financial planners in formulating advice to clients, taking instructions for research, and documenting advice provided.
  • Review client objectives to ensure they are clear, concise, and achievable compared to their financial circumstances.
  • Respond to client inquiries by analyzing and researching technical questions and creating appropriate responses.
  • Assist the team's PA with technical matters and liaise with clients in the absence of the financial director.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience in a paraplanning role.
  • Solid generalist experience within the financial services sector.
  • Good understanding of compliance issues and maintenance of client files and confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in using systems such as iO, Microsoft Office suite, and cash flow modeling tools.
  • Numerate and familiar with operating and creating spreadsheets.
  • Ability to craft detailed letters and comprehensive bespoke reports.
