About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Public Health Programme Manager to join our team at Wirral Borough Council. As a key member of our Public Health team, you will play a critical role in leading and directing the development and implementation of our All Together Smokefree programme.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in public health, with experience in programme management, leadership, and collaboration. You will be responsible for managing a small team, overseeing programme delivery, and ensuring high levels of intellectual rigour, political awareness, negotiation, motivation, and advocacy skills.

This is a fixed-term post to 31 March 2027, and the post holder will be part of our Champs support team. The Champs support team leads, facilitates, and enables delivery of key programmes of work, hosted by Wirral Council.
