About the Role:
The Wirral Borough Council is seeking two dynamic and highly motivated Programme Managers to lead and deliver on the All Together Smokefree programme. This innovative public health programme aims to end smoking, everywhere, for everyone in Cheshire and Merseyside, delivering a Smokefree 2030 that is fair and equitable for adults and a tobacco-free future for every child.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and deliver on agreed aspects of the All Together Smokefree programme and implementation plan.
- Improve the Treating Tobacco Dependency and Stop Smoking system offer.
- Advocate and Lobby for policy change.
- Tackle Illicit tobacco and vapes.
- Develop and implement workforce development and Sector-led improvement initiatives.
About the Team:
The Programme Managers will report to the All Together Smokefree Programme Manager and will work closely with the Champs support team, which leads, facilitates, and enables delivery of the key programmes of work. The team will collaborate with Cheshire & Merseyside Directors of Public Health, the Director of Population Health in Cheshire & Merseyside, local authority public health teams, NHS Cheshire & Merseyside, the UK Health Security Agency, the Office of Health Improvement and Disparities, NHS Trusts, and other internal and external partners.
Requirements:
- Manage multiple and changing demands to meet tight deadlines.
- High level of flexibility and prioritisation skills.
- Ability to work across partnerships.
