Older Peoples Psychiatry Expert

We are seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist to join our older people's consultant group to provide clinical leadership and Old Age Psychiatry expertise to our CRHTT based at Woodlands Unit, Ipswich Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity for someone wishing to work with older people to prevent hospital admissions and to facilitate more timely and appropriate discharges from the ward.
The successful candidate will have:
- Entry on the GMC Register
- Approved Clinician Status
- Section 12(2) Approval under the Mental Health Act
- Specialist Register or within 6 months of CCST
The ideal candidate will have experience in relevant clinical areas, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of complex mental illnesses. They will also have strong leadership qualities, effective team working skills, and flexibility.
